About Home Concepts

Home Concepts has been working with home owners and real estate agents in the Nelson region since 2006. We have styled many properties during that period, from large architecturally designed homes to small apartments.

About Lisa

From as far back as I can remember I have always been intrigued by interiors, organising my tiny bedroom and creating different looks using colours and texture! This initial interest has developed into a natural talent which I have built on with several years of experience both in the UK and here in New Zealand.

Whilst living in the UK I spent many years working in display and merchandising for John Lewis which is a large national department store chain. I also completely renovated and redecorated my own and friends properties and more than doubled the value of one of them when it was sold!

I have lived in Nelson for over 4 years now and have gained a variety of skills and experience in interior design whilst working for Material Effects (an interior design studio based in Nelson for over 20 years) and I continue to work with them on design projects.

The challenge of making homes desirable on a small budget is something I really enjoy and seeing the finished result is always amazing!
